Ceylon Cinnamon

Cinnamon is known as one of the first traded and most popular spices in the ancient world. It belongs to the family Lauraceae and has more than 250 species and subspecies. The expensive and rare cinnamon varieties are known as Sri Lankan's own "Ceylon Cinnamon". Ceylon varieties have a high reputation and demand in the world due to their unique chemical properties compared to other varieties.

Ceylon cinnamon contains more than 80 chemical ingredients. Shinnam aldehyde is an essential component of bark, and eugenol is the main component found in cinnamon leaf oil.

This precious spice is said to be the most beneficial in the spice industry. Not only is it a natural spice, it has been used as a medicine, perfume, soft drink. Currently, cinnamon is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry, bakery and cosmetics industry around the world.
